A visit today to Tom Volp Park (better known as Meringandan Lake) at Meringandan, South East Queensland proved quite delightful. While a lot of the area is not easily accessable and there are limited ideal viewing points, this little lake was abundunt with wildlife. Unfortunately there were many Common Indian Myna residing there also.
Identified Bird List from this short visit is as follows:
Coot
Swamp Hen
Australasian Little Grebe
Black Duck
Wood Duck
Red-rumped Parrot
Yellow-rumped Thornbill
Superb Blue Fairy Wren (Male & Female)
Chestnut Breasted Mannikin
Brown Honeyeater
