Gatton Environmental Park was alive with water birds on the weekend. Pink Eared Ducks and Magpie Geese were the real highlights for me - I could have watched them all day.

DeleteThis area is mentioned in our birding book so we will be sure to drop in when we get a chance to go to Gatton. Lovely photographic summery of your visit.
ReplyDeleteIt is surprising how many birds you can see in one small place there. Last time I saw the Red-necked Avocets, but alas not this time. Hope you get some great sightings when you go.
DeleteThe whistling ducks are a personal favourite, but pink eared ducks are so bizarre they're gorgeous!! Sounds like a fun day out!
ReplyDeleteYes the Whistling Ducks are always a great sighting - I love them too.
