CRESTED SHRIKE-TIT AT RAVENSBOURNE NATIONAL PARK
Mothers Day 2016 was spent doing my favourite things, bushwalking and birdwatching with my family. The morning was spent at Munros Tramway birding trail, Ravensbourne (more here) and then onto lunch, then Ravensbourne National Park. The national park was packed with people and so we stuck to the edges to avoid the crowds. Brendon with this keen eye, spotted a few Crested Shrike-tit's high in the tree tops on the roadside edge. This was a new sighting for both of us and a perfect ending to a great day out in the Australian bush.
