Highfields Sunset.... I decided to go and test out my new wide-angle camera lens this afternoon, in a spot that I have noticed the sunset reflecting over two farm dams on the outskirts of Highfields. Of course things didn't go to plan, with one leg of the tripod seizing on me, so these few practise pics are hand-held. It is a very pretty spot, albeit a bit inaccessible. These dams are always home to beautiful waterbirds and while I was taking these photos, Welcome Swallows were ducking and diving for insects over the water, making for a very picturesque evening, despite the traffic zooming past behind me.
